I had a lovely stay at this cozy pub, enjoying superb full English breakfasts and charming dinners, all while being just a few steps away from the fascinating Lostwithiel Museum and the stunning St Bartholomew's Church, making it easy for me to explore the area on foot. it truly felt welcoming and like a home away from home for a single traveler like me.

Cozy stay with great food

We had a lovely 3-night stay in a double room. The breakfast was delicious, and I loved the varied menu. We ate in the bar and the food was hearty and well-priced. Staff were genuinely friendly, making us and our dog feel welcome! Just wish there was a bit more storage space in the room, but it was comfy overall.

It was just an excellent fit for a weekend break in Lostwithiel with good value considering the price it charged. The food was excellent quality, cooked perfectly, and reasonably priced. Try to stay for the breakfast. it's scrumptious.

I arrived and was greeted warmly by the staff as if they knew me. The room was a great size, clean, and I actually enjoyed the quirky decor, nothing modern but it had a unique charm!

I appreciated the charming character of the Royal Oak Inn, particularly the warm and cozy ambiance created by the wood-burning stove and tasteful decorations. The inviting spaces were easy to navigate, making my stay very comfortable as a senior.

I had a lovely two-night stay and really enjoyed my big, cozy room with all the little touches like a nice TV and tasty snacks. There’s a great garden area perfect for unwinding, and I loved the wood burning stove in the pub. The only downside was a bit of noise in the evenings, but it didn't dampen my experience at all. 😊

Was here for work, and what a surprise! The staff were super friendly and the room was spacious and comfy. I missed the food since I was too busy enjoying the pub vibes, but it looked good! Just a bit noisy at night because of the pub crowd, but nothing too crazy. Loved the atmosphere!

We spent five nights in a lovely double room. The shower was refreshing, and every morning greeted us with an extraordinary breakfast spread. The friendly staff made our stay memorable. Pro tip, take a short walk to enjoy the local village atmosphere! Parking was limited but easily manageable.
